What information is collected and why
Contact form
If you send a message through the contact form, I receive the name, email address, website (if given) and message you enter. I use this only to read and reply to your message. The message is delivered to me by email; it is not added to a mailing list.
To reduce spam, form submissions are checked by Akismet, a service run by Automattic Inc. Akismet receives the content of the form, your IP address and your browser’s user agent. See the Automattic privacy policy.
Server logs
The site is hosted by Hostinger and delivered through its content delivery network. As with most websites, the hosting provider records technical details of each visit, such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested, for security and to keep the service running. These logs are kept in line with the Hostinger privacy policy.
Fonts
The site loads fonts from Google Fonts. When your browser requests them, Google receives your IP address. See the Google privacy policy.
Cookies
The site does not use advertising or analytics cookies. A small number of cookies or local settings may be stored for the site to work, for example to remember a display setting.
Comments and accounts
Visitors cannot create accounts or post comments on this site.
Who information is shared with
I do not sell or pass on personal information. It is processed only by the service providers named above (Hostinger, Automattic and Google) so that the site and the contact form can work.
How long information is kept
Messages sent through the contact form are kept for as long as needed to deal with your enquiry.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask to see the personal information I hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, and object to or restrict its use. To do so, use the contact form. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
